Hey everybody! My name is Sarah Slifer, and I was born and raised in the small, central Kansas town of Nickerson. Upon graduating high school, I decided to follow a branch of my family tree, and thus became a Sterling College Warrior in the fall of 2011. I am majoring in Christian Ministries and feel called to do women’s ministry in the future. Amongst other things, I participate in music ensembles (instrumental and vocal) and student government at Sterling.
The Lord has placed a desire in my heart to see people come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and grow in their walk with Him, to run the race marked before them with perseverance and steadfast determination. Hebrews 12:1-2 (ESV) says:
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
I pray that God uses my blog to encourage and challenge you, my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
