Carry On

DaretoBelieve

For some of us it is summer time and school is out. For others, we are still trucking through classes and finals. And some who aren’t in school are working for the weekend pushing through work. Sometimes we get into a rut and it seems like we can never get out. Things seem dull in comparison to everyone else around us. The questions we have been asking ourselves over and over are how can we get out? When will this end?

I cannot answer these questions. I cannot give a “3 easy steps to get out of your rut.” What I can give is Jesus Christ. He lived here on earth and knows the pain and troubles of the world. He died on the cross an innocent man for everyone, taking on all of our sins; past, present, and future. Then he rose from the grave and conquered death so that we may live; So that we could have a personal relationship with Him.

Lay your burdens down at His feet. Give Him your troubles and weaknesses. He can carry it for you. Now this isn’t going to be easy. It’s a weekly, daily, hourly, minute by minute thing. It is one foot in front of the other. But once the load gets lighter, you’ll begin to feel better and different. So don’t give up! “If you’re lost and alone, or you’re sinking like a stone, carry on. May your past be the sound of your feet upon the ground, carry on.” [“Carry On” by FUN]. This month I dare you to carry on, and let Jesus be your guide and comfort. Remember, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” [John 16:33]. He’s already won! Take His hand and carry on! So will you take the dare? Will you believe?
