Stress. Causer of zits, sleepless nights, and emotional break downs since Adam and Eve first realized they were naked. We’ve all felt it. Whether it’s from school, work, or home we all know what it’s like to feel the pressure of getting something done. It’s not fun, and it can have several serious side effects. These side effects are hard on the body, and can even sometimes affect other people in our lives.

Stress can be so overwhelming at times that we reach the point to where we feel like we’re drowning. Life just over takes us and we spiral out of control. All hope seems lost, and all our efforts seem pointless.

The great thing about this is that we have Jesus! When we lean on Him when we’re stressed He can provide us with peace. In Philippians 4:6-7 it says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” By taking our stressors to God in prayer He can help us make it through difficult stress filled times.

Instead of blowing up at someone you love or balling on the floor, I dare you to take your stressors to God in prayer. He is faithful and will provide you with unexplainable peace if you let Him. This month’s dare is short because we all have places to be and things to do. So will you take the dare? Will you believe?
